Alaskan Rush!

Sam Mc Ford was a cook in Seattle who lost interest in his mediocre job. Upon hearing from his brother, Ben, that he found gold in the Snake River near Nome, Alaska, Sam headed north to strike it rich and give up his tiring job as a cook. Sam went to the secret location that Ben revealed to him and lo and behold he found plenty of gold just inches underneath the edge of the river. However, Sam doesn't know that just behind him a huge polar beat snuck up behind him, Roland, to jokingly scare the wits out of him, while hoping that Sam's faithful husky, Lassen, doesn't give him away early! 8D

I came up with this idea while listening to the song "North to Alaska" by Johnny Horton and although this picture is pretty different than the song, it was certainly inspired by it. I wanted to come up with a group of 3 that would all come together and soon become friends in 1890's Alaska, just a bit before the Nome Gold Rush.
